Thelma WardThelma Ward

Thelma was born in Ireland and spent a wonderful childhood in Dublin. After college, she lived in Paris for a few years until Prague beckoned. Her love of music and the arts means she is in heaven living in this beautiful city which she is proud to now call her home. A complete change of career followed quickly and she became immersed in the tourism industry – organizing hotel accommodation and events for groups from all over the world.

Her own wedding to her childhood sweetheart was her first experience with wedding planning and she was hooked. A destination wedding for a friend followed quickly and it snowballed from there on in. Her contacts from the tourist business with her love of event planning and meeting new people, meant within a year her company went from strength to strength.

Thelma says, “Each and every wedding is personal for me, I am known for shedding a quick tear as vows are being exchanged, I love the whole wedding preparation, planning, budgeting, creativity, attention to detail, and execution.”

When not planning weddings Thelma loves spending time with her husband and their little boy and girl. She also likes to do adrenaline sports, catching up with friends, and reading until she falls asleep at the end of the day!

Best Reasons to get Married or Honeymoon in Prague

Prague is one of the world’s best kept secrets when it comes to destination weddings. There are many reasons why you should consider getting married or honeymooning in Prague. Here are just a few:

Prague has a wonderful romantic backdrop for the perfect wedding, it is picturesque and mysterious with its many cobble streets and hidden gems of architecture.

The services in Prague are of a very high standard. Visitors who wish to sample Czech fare or international cuisine will be pleasantly surprised by the quality. Transport is quick, clean and efficient – main forms is metro, tram, and bus.

There is lots to do in Prague – beautiful parks and scenic views for a stroll. Music lovers will be spoilt for choice with daily concerts. Wonderful exhibitions in the galleries. Did I mention great nightlife and the shopping is good as well.

Prague is really good value for money, accommodation, restaurants, cafes and bars are very reasonably priced in comparison to other European cities.

Prague is fast becoming one of the most sought after wedding destinations and English is widely spoken.

Best Times to Get Married in Prague

Any time is a good time to be married in Prague depending upon your preferences. The spring and fall offer mild temperatures and there won’t be as many tourists to contend with. Hotel room prices are also more moderate during these seasons. During the summer months when the average high temperatures will be a very pleasant low to mid-70s, is also the time when Prague is most crowded and since it is high season, costs will be higher as well. If you hate the thought of being jostled in a crowd, consider a winter wedding, but be warned, Prague receives its fair share of snow and the temperatures barely reach the mid 30s.

Hi Thelma,

Hope you are well!

Claire & I would like to send you & Monika a massive thank you for the brilliant job you did for our wedding.

It was truly the most amazing, magical experience of our lives and we still can’t believe it has happened. It was like a dream.

Everything was so perfectly organised and choreographed right down to the finest detail. We couldn’t have wished for anymore and this memory will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

Of course we’re back to reality now & still coming down from the high of our special day which is only natural. I just wanted to take this opportunity to send you our sincere appreciation for a job brilliantly done.

Our Very Best Regards,

Carl & Claire Gregory

Hello Thelma and Monika,

How are you? We are back from honeymoon last week. I meant to mail you earlier but my
work is so busy after being on holidays nearly a month. I just hadn’t
got a chance to drop you a mail…(Apologies!!!)

We would like to thank you again for organizing our wedding in Prague.
Everything went perfectly thanks to you!! All guests enjoyed the
ceremony in St. Jilji and the reception at Mlynec. A lot of people
actually made a comment on the fabulous meal done by Mlynec. The wedding
cake you have organized for us was also very tasty.

We really had a time of our life on the wedding day. We didn’t expect
that we could enjoy it so much. The day really flew and it was over
before we knew!

We are glad we have picked you out of many wedding planners in Prague.

Thanks again and regards,

Eri & James
